In Afwachting van Achteruit Krat (Awaiting Reverse Crate)
An image produced with a typewriter, based on events which occurred during the residency. It was developed after examining the graphical possibilities of a typewriter. A poem about waiting forms the centrepiece of the image, which is written in both Dutch and Bulgarian.
Untitled (a poem about asbestos)
Based on childhood memories aroused by the presence of asbestos during the residency, I started to write about asbestos. Small slips of paper (handmade in Taiwan, received from a fellow resident) seemed an attractive format to produce short texts. The poem presented here is made with a Latin typewriter (in English) next to a version using a Cyrillic typewriter (in Bulgarian).
